Our Work
We are experienced and compassionate educators collaborating with learners and writers to create engaging, empowering and representative educational materials for adults from marginalized and minoritized communities.
We work to amplify the voices of BIPOC (people of the global majority), migrant and immigrant learners, LGBTQIA+, people with disabilities and other marginalized groups. As people who come from and/or serve these communities, our goal is to center perspectives that are traditionally excluded from educational materials. Our learning resources not only equip students with the academic skills they need to thrive, but also understanding and representation of their journeys.
Founded by a white woman, but working exclusively with BIPOC and other minoritized and racialized communities, Collaborative Voices also seeks to deconstruct whiteness and white privilege.
Our books are proudly printed at A Good Day to Print, a division of Black Classic Press - one of the only large-scale Black-owned printing presses in the US.
A portion of the sales from our books will be donated to tribal nations in what today are known as New York and New Jersey, as part of our land acknowledgement practices.
